Locronan

Locranon is an enchanting little medieval town not far from the Crozon peninsula. For a lovely day out, combine your visit with a trip to Châtaulin or Douarnenez. It’s also well worth taking a detour to Ménez-Hom, the highest hill in the Parc Naturel Régional d’Amorique. If the weather is good, there is a fantastic view across the peninsula and the Aulne valley from the top.

If you go to Locronan, make sure you visit Stan Brevilet, who makes beautiful pottery, and Hervé Lorant. His little shop, hidden away in a small annexe, sells richly decorated Breton lovespoons carved from various types of wood. The woodworker’s passion for his craft can be seen in every single one – a lovely souvenir of this little town or a wonderful gift for a couple.
